Excerpt from Report of the Special Committee on Dues and Benefits, Appointed by the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, May 23d, 1890: Containing the Experience of the Subordinate Lodges Upon the Subject of Sickness and Mortality
At the same time it was adopted that a Lodge may enact a law of genera application, that benefits shall be reduced in amount after they have been paid a certain length of time; said law to become operative to all members alike at the time named therein subsequent to its adoption.
