Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Walter Harris and Some of His Descendants
Nothing has so far come to light about the life of Walter Harris in England. His place of residence there and his occupation are unknown. We are as ignorant about the antecedents of his wife, whose maiden name was Mary F ry. Their union certainly took place in England, for she mentions in her will, dated J annary 19, 1655, three married daughters, two of them with children. The older of the two sons was also married at the time of his mother's death. Some of her children were, therefore, born in England, but the date of birth of none of them is known.
Walter Harris was made freeman, that is, granted full political rights in the colony, on June 2, There is.
