Nempè sancta synodus in ipsis principiis professa est se qui dem con gregatam, non modb ut de schismate ac de reformaüone, sed etiam ut de fide quereret adversus Viclefi et Hussi grassantes hereses cujus rei gratiâ, vel maxime à Joanne XXIII convoca tam esse constabat Quare omninb tractatura erat adversus illos hereticos varias ac maximas fidei questiones, ac speciatim ad versùs Viclefum expositura erat ipsum papalem primahrm, quem ille impugnaverat, ut sepè vidimus ergo intellexit, atque deere vit Papam in his questionibus syn0d0 pariturum.
Quid, qubd jam inde ab initio decrevit synodus ipsam synodum talia tractaturam, nec Pape recessu dissolutum iri, se rema nere in suâ potestate et integritate concilium eâ scilicet potestate, cui Papa ipse subjicitur? Intellexit ergo, atque decrevit syriodus, etiam recedente Papa, de [ide tractatura ipsam se eä potestate esse, ut decreta conderet, cui Papa ipse obedire tenere tur, nedùm in tractando etquerendo superiorem eum agnosceret.
Id verb demonstrant, uti prediximus non modb ipsius synodi decreta verùm etiam gesta. Reverà enim tractata sunt ses sione VIII, post recessum Pape, adversùs Viclefum et Hassum, ea que memoravimus, expositaque est circa primatum Romanum Ecclesie ?des. Quin etiam, Papà i psc, sessione XII, rite deposito, tractate sunt mulloe adversùs J oannem Bussum, Hieronymum de pragàetjoannem Petitum, fideiquestiones; nem pè sessionexm, XIV et deindè ceteris: ergo synodus non modb decrevit à se posse fieri, sed etiam fecit idque absente Papâ, imb etiam deposito, decreta de fide, quibus ipse Papa parere teneretur.
