Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Pennsylvania Horticultural Association, Proceeding of the Eighty-Fourth Annual Meeting: Chestnut Street Hall Auditorium, Harrisburg, Penna., January 13 and 14, 1943
Unfortunately, this period represents the time of greatest susceptibility to brown rot.
Thus, the effectiveness of any new material or spray schedule will be sharply limited by all these factors plus many others which I haven't time to mention. Perhaps we even can say that completely satisfactory control of rot in a wet year cannot be hoped for with the present spray materi als. Therefore, it is evident that we are faced with serious difficulties in developing a spray for brown rot control.
