Les ruines du Labyrinthe de Rosemonde subsistent encore ainsi que la fontaine qui est pavee au fond en pierre de taille et la tour d'ou partait le labyrinthe; c'etaient des arcades voutees, ayant des murs de pierre et de briques, qui se croisaient dans tous les sens, et au milieu desquelles il etait fort difficile de se reconnaitre, afin que si la retraite de Rosemonde venait a etre decouverte par la reine, elle put echapper aisement au premier peril, et aller prendre l'air au besoin par des issues secretes a une assez grande distance autour de Woodstock dans le comte d'oxford.
