Publisher's Synopsis
Dutch cuisine is dominated by fish, dairy and cheese products, their ancestors being fishermen and farmers. The Dutch East India Company allowed a breakthrough in other cultures and their cuisine. This had a historical influence on Dutch culture. The Dutch-Indonesian dishes best known were the 'Rice-Table' or 'rijsttafel'.
