Publisher's Synopsis
In the late spring of 1969, I was working as the Technical Director for NYU School of the Arts and was sharing an apartment with a friend on Christopher Street in the West Village of New York City. My goal for the summer was modest --- find a creative project that would earn some extra cash. However, fate intervened, and I soon became involved with a group of oddball people with whom I was destined to create and pull off the cultural event of the Sixties-the Woodstock Music and Arts Festival. Thus, began the summer that would put me in the eye of the storm and change the course my life.
