After the incredibly devastating loss of my husband in 2008, I decided to write a book about my experience. The purpose of this book is to help others understand that grief is hard and our experiences are all unique and yet alike in so many ways. I am telling you my story because I want to share how I experienced my caregiving and my grief in hopes that you will find some comfort during your own times of grief. Sharing how I managed to get through the worst experience of my life and what helped me regain the will to live will hopefully help you understand how grief can affect us. Also, how what I learned gave me hope, confidence and endurance to help sustain the pain and exhaustion I was going through. I learned that I could shift out of my overwhelming grief even though I didn't think I could, or even want to, into a better frame of mind where I could function and endure. Even though I felt so powerless to deal with my grief, the use of energy work and meditating and my love for Chuck, helped me so much. It also helped my husband, my children and myself. It gave me the strength to do what I had to. My experience made me aware of how deeply grief affects people and what a difficult transition grief can be. I experienced emotions that I never knew existed. My life and awareness of things around me changed dramatically. Sharing my ups and downs of my husband's lung cancer diagnosis, treatments, challenges and results were very difficult for me because not only do I want to help others overcome their grief, but also I needed to overcome mine. Writing about my experience was a healing process for me. After two years of writing about my experience, I felt an incredible release of emotions when I finished my book. In this book, I am going to take you through my journey from the beginning to the end and all the challenges I faced along the way. Most importantly, I will share with you the lessons and techniques I learned to help me deal with my experience and my emotions. Over 35 years ago, I learned all about how our thoughts affect our lives and how to use energy to help us heal, cope and change detrimental habit patterns and beliefs that I had. This was essential is learning how to perceive and handle everything that I was going through. I learned about energy and how it deeply affects us, our health, our thoughts and how it keeps our minds and our bodies in harmonious balance. Aligning with high frequency energies causes positive thoughts and helps our body to heal. Chuck and I both used these techniques so much every day. One of the most important concepts that we used daily was aligning with low (negative) energy frequencies which causes negative thoughts, which greatly impedes our body and our mind's natural ability to heal. Another concept that was so important is understanding how energy affected everything in life. I studied how our bodies and mind are designed and structured to use energy and how to improve every aspect of my life, mentally, emotionally, biochemically and situationally. Everything that exists is made of different energy frequencies (our minds, plants, the sun, our thoughts, our bodies, the sky, the earth, everything). I learned how to meditate and use these high frequency energies both for my mind and my body, which helped my family and myself through all kinds of challenges. I learned how the appropriate use of different kinds of energy creates health, balance, and harmony in our minds and in our body. I knew everything that exists is energy but I didn't know that you could use energy to help yourself. I also didn't know that we are designed and structured to be able to use energy so effectively. Using the energy techniques daily made a huge difference in both of our lives and it gave us a feeling of understanding about our own innate powers and how we can use them to make our lives better. Who knew you could do that!
