Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Cashing in on Foreign Trade
Many a man who has sold his own notes in the market and has at some time or other paid a bill or been paid in exchange on New York is nevertheless all up in the air when it comes to getting his money thru foreign exchange. He is like a certain Western manufacturer of agri cultural implements who had his first experience of this nature quite a number of years ago, in the normal days long before the war. This manufacturer had at first felt disinclined to go far from home, but at length set aside his prejudice and accepted an order from an English jobber. The amount was 210 and the terms of sale provided for a thirty days' sight draft on London. Armed with the invoice, bill of lading, insurance certificate and draft, the manufacturer sought his banker, in some perplexity.
