Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Forestry in Minnesota
The drawings, with few exceptions, have been made under my direction by Miss M. M. Cheney. The half-tone illustrations are mostly from photographs taken in the division of Horticulture at various times. The figure of a fire break on the Grande Dune, is from a print loaned me by Mr. John Gifford, of Princeton, New Jersey, and that of cut-over timber land, by Mr. H. B. Ayres.
