Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Fats and Oils Situation, Vol. 45: November 1940
Prices of most animal fats were 3 - 7 percent higher in October than in September, but lard prices declined. The price of prime steam lard at Chicago averaged only cents per pound for the month, H percent below the September average and the lowest monthly average since March 1933. Lard production, as indicated by the number of hogs slaughtered, was much above average in October. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
