The following discussion was published about three years ago, in a series of articles, by a leading religious paper of New Yorkfi N atu rally, therefore, the course of thought was adapted in some measure to those who were expected to read it; that is, to Christian men and women of a particular denomination. The writer cannot see that any important end would be gained by attempting to obliterate all traces of that original adaptation, especially as no sect arian aim was followed at the time. As then stated, the object of the discussion was not to make out a case either for or against any body of Christians, but to ascertain, if possible, whether.
