Xxiii pp. Iso - I97 I was not acquainted With his paper when I undertook the present investigation after reading a paper by Dr John Dougall, to which I refer. The method I have adopted is different fiom that employed by MI Jefl'feiy, and appears to thiow further light on the geometry of the problem.
