All entries relating to the subject generally shall be arranged in this division under 1000, excepting those relating to carbon itself or to com pounds not usually regarded as derivatives of hydrocarbons.
Substitution derivat-ives of the compounds included in each of the numbered divisions especially haloid and allied derivatives formed by the introduction of monad radicles - shall, as far as possible, be entered under the compounds from which they are derived.
Entries under the name of a sub stance may, if necessary, be sub divided in the manner provided for inorganic subst-anoes.
