The purpose of the little book is to show that the ethics of Kant are not supernatural and um evolutionary; that Kant was a precursor of Lamarck, Von Baer, and Darwin; and that Mr. Spencer's philosophy is essentially reactionary, being a haven of refuge even for his enemies.
