What is Culture? The word is not altogether a new creation. In the sense of the act or process of cultivating it may be found occasionally in the works of old and good writers. For example, in one of Addison's papers in the 'spectator' we read 'the mind that lies fallow but a single day sprouts up in follies that are only to be killed by a constant and assiduous culture.'
