With refpeet to the practical part of thofe inftruetions, it will not be expected that the nat'ural attitude of an ani mal, a. Bird, or an infect, can be given fo well by an um {kilful Operator as by a profe?ional man, who is in con ftant practice; it muft rather be inferred that by due at tention to the information we have given, he may enfure their prefervation from the ravages of thofe deftruelive mites, and the larva of minute beetles or moths which breed among the feathers of birds, the hair of animals, or down of infects, and would deftroy them in the courfe of a few fummer months, unless prevented by timely pre cautions.
