Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Decalogue and the Lord's Day in the Light of the General Relation of the Old and New Testaments: With a Chapter on Confessions of Faith
It may be thought by some that the defence of the Confession of Faith contained in the last Lec ture is hardly consistent with the method of state ment in regard to the divine Obligation of the Lord's Day adopted in the earlier Lectures. It seems to me, however, that a fair interpreter will find no difficulty in reconciling the two things with one another.
I have only to add further, for the sake of those inhabitants Of Aberdeen to whom the following Lec tures were originally delivered, that the passages then omitted, owing to want Of time, are now sup plied.
