Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Ballads of Babyland: English and American
Equally with these, authors I have to thank their publishers; and especially thanks are due, and are hereby gratefully acknowledged, to Messrs. Macmillan 81 Co. George Routledge 81 Sons; Smith, Elder Co.; and W. R. Chambers, for their readily-granted per mission to include selections from the published works of esteemed authors who within recent years have passed from songland to Songland.
Two or three pieces are included. The authors of which could not be traced. But they were too good to be left out; and the authors, when they discover them, we assume, will not feel inclined to dispute the fitness of their habitat.
