In the beginning uprightness was man's birthright. He was made in the image of God, and for a season adorned himself with perfect holiness. All the passions of his soul were in harmony with the divine will. All his powers, phys ical, intellectual and moral were in perfect subjection to the divine command. As he came from the hand of his Maker he was good, very good.
