Dr. Liicke has given a German version of St. John's Epistles, along with his Commentary: the Translator perceived that justice could not be done to the Doctor's work, without translating this version: it is a version of such a Greek text as Dr. Liicke has deliberately adopted, and is also in conformity with the interpretation given in the Commentary. It is, in many instances, much more clear and perspicuous than the ver sion of the English Bible.
