Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Publications of the American Economic Association, 1887, Vol. 1
One aim of our association should be the education of pub lic Opinion in regard to economic questions and economic liter ature. In no other science is there so much quackery and it must be our province to expose it and bring it into merited contempt. A review at each of our meetings of the economic works of the past year, if published in our proceedings, might help in the formation of enlightened judgment.
