Vers 1373, Jeanne de vvazieres apporta a Nicolas, dit Colard Van den Cl_yte, chevalier, bailli de Gand et conseiller du comte de Flandre, Louis de Male, la seigneurie de Commynes, sur la Lys (auj. Comines. Nord cant. De Quesnoy - sur - Dcule, arr. De Lille); il en prit le nom et le transmit a ses descendants.
