Publisher's Synopsis

Khalil Jalili was born in Kohnehshar of Salmas in western Iran (Azerbaijan). He studied natural science (chemistry) at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. Societal injustice and social problems made him interested in history and social science. From 1905, the people of Iran have been through two revolutions as well as an attempted revolution in order to develop society economically and politically. In spite of all the efforts that have been made by distinctive social movements during the past 100 years, only small changes have taken place. The reasons for the failure of social movements are different in different countries. This book attempts to uncover Iranian people's barriers for reaching political rights, social rights and democracy from the perspective of weakness of thought and lack of social awareness in Iran.
