Zopliclone has been used since 1987, at which time it was introduced on the market under the name of Imovane, and occupied first place in the hypnotics group in a number of countries, France in particular. lt was therefore of interest to discuss the current situation following five years of use, and that was the purpose of the workshop which took place in September 1992.
