The additional amount of sodium cyanide to be used is easily determined by multiplying the amount of zinc cyanide to be re placed by zinc oxide, by Q. 84. The total cyanide to be used will then be equal to this plus the original content of sodium cyanide.
The amount of sodium hydroxide required is Simply the origi nally specified amount minus the amount of zinc oxide used.
