Publisher's Synopsis
"I think, if what both you and Ve'k'fïk said is true," I say, pointing at the objects, "those were Machgen and Htræ."
I stare at the two broken planets, watching the stranded pieces of rock pull around each other's orbits in a slow, painful attempt at restoration. Holes littering the surface of each planet are filled with a dim green glow that emits from the cores.
One of the planets is cracked significantly on its southern hemisphere, filling the otherwise darkened planet with a blinding white light from its neighbouring star.
"There's manufactured debris too." Lïtsubavïr points. "Look, there's a ship. It's split in half."
My hearts grow cold at the sight of the destruction.
"They were eliminated without a fight." Lïtsubavïr grits his teeth. "I can understand causing a battle, weakening them to display dominance or keep them in control, but this..."
"It's merciless." I finish.
