For ten years Don Youngblood wondered what could have been. A top New Jersey high school baseball prospect who was destined for stardom before a crippling knee injury cut his career short. Now 30, Youngblood is bewildered and confused in a world he doesn't seem to understand. After finding out about an open tryout for the New Jersey Semi-Pro league, Youngblood decides to dust off the old cleats for another shot at glory. With the help of a young janitor battling his own demons, Youngblood trains for a return to the baseball diamond. His return also brings back his high school sweetheart who has moved on with her life. Risking his health and reputation; Youngblood discovers the game has changed since his youth. Now, not only must he chase his dream of making the big leagues, but also win back his old flame that helps him discover himself and the true meaning of his life.
