Yellow Like the Mango Sun is a compilation of poetry written by Billie. Billie is a first generation citizen, singer, songwriter, poet and performer. Born in St. Croix and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Billie found their love for the arts at a very young age. Billie has been writing since the age of eight and has been published in several books and publications. Yellow Like the Mango Sun is Billie's first solo book project. This book gives audiences a view into the world of a spiritual black nonbinary person's existence and the strength it takes to be ones self in a world that is determined not to understand them.
