Publisher's Synopsis

This workbook contains 25 printable activities to help your students write an expository paragraph on animals: the elephant, pig, butterfly, horse, cow, snail, ladybug, cat, dog, ant, honeybee, spider, triceratops, parrot, chicken, shark, jellyfish, centipede, scorpion, fly, earthworm, frog, lizard, turtle and snake. Students practice writing descriptive paragraphs about these animals. In the first sentence, students introduce the animal. In the middle sentences, students describe the characteristics of the animal: what it eats, where it lives, what it looks like, how it acts when scared, how people feel about it, etc. In the final sentences, students give the paragraph closure.
