The Wrawby Local History Group have researched the history of Wrawby covering archaeology to recent times and have taken an in depth look at the period of war from 1914-1918. "Wrawby at War 1914-1918" is the story of the lives of the inhabitants of a North Lincolnshire village during World War 1 as reported in a local newspaper of the time. It is a tribute firstly to those who fought and those who died in the Great War. Secondly, it records the activities of those who kept the "home fires burning" and supported the war effort, despite and perhaps because of the inevitable consequences to their loved ones involved in the fighting.
