Publisher's Synopsis
The dark clouds of the past encroach upon the beautiful light-blue sky. Dawn, however, pays them no mind as she wanders around her quaint home village in the middle of the day. Bouncy are her steps, for the fresh ten-year-old had a joyous birthday only yesterday; her wonderful mom even let her meet and play with a small dragon! Hence, the young woman is more determined than ever to share her happiness with the world - she is not going to overlook any injustices that bring sadness to its many inhabitants. Dawn is then approached by a stranger who wears a stained diamond ring.
As the night approaches, a panicked mother is unable to find her darling daughter anywhere in the darkening village. Elena asks around frantically from anyone and everyone in hopes of that somebody saw something, anything at all. But little does she know that her challenging journey has already begun. Right when despair reaches its zenith, a young child comes and tells her that he saw two strangers talking with Dawn: One of the descriptions resembles that of her long-vanished husband. How far is Elena willing to go to rescue her baby daughter?
