Publisher's Synopsis
This is an autobiography of Helen Dancy Carey, from her birth in China to her life in Canada. She expores life with her missionary parents. As she writes:
My original plan was to share my story just with my children, Brian and Lorraine, but many people have strongly encouraged me to make it available beyond my family. I know many others have written so well of their experiences in China. My story may pale in the light of theirs. However, the following words by Phillips Brooks as quoted in Springs in the Valley encouraged me:
"Find your purpose and fling your life out into it; and the loftier your purpose is, the more sure you will be to make the world richer with every enrichment of yourself."3
My prayer is that you will get a glimpse of how wonderfully God has cared for me, His little lamb, a missionary kid; commonly known as an MK. May the examples of His care throughout these pages be an encouragement to you. I hope you will have as much fun on this journey with me as I have had in writing it.
