Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Without Mercy
Like all sailors I believe in omens. It seems to me a hopeful one that the story was conceived and born in an American-built and American-engined M.L. Chaser in service on the Belgian Coast in 1918, about the time the Hun was beginning to get it in the spinal vertebrae. Though the book, I am thankful to say, has nothing to do with the War.
