This report summarizes the available technology approaches to wiring and discusses in detail the design characteristics of the AT & T premises distribution systems and the IBM cabling system. Furthermore, it discusses alternatives based on building structures for the development of a wiring scheme, and a general strategy of wiring. An approach to providing a wiring utility is described in the report and strategies for applying these technologies to various forms of token-rings are discussed.
