Winter Wheat chronicles one man's journey through a time when all things seemed possible; but only for those few whose provenance provided the resources and opportunities needed to succeed. He had no advocate or grand plan to guide him, but a discontent born of frustration kept him moving toward a goal that he hoped he would recognize when it came into view. Not strong enough to succeed alone, he needed to find a loving and affirming wife who would inspire and encourage him, with whom he could create a family that would not abandon him. And, he needed to find a fulfilling career where he would no longer feel like a bit player in someone else's story. Most of all he needed to find himself.
