Publisher's Synopsis
Never allow guilt or anger to stop you from pursuing a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. High school wasn't always my mission field, but a battlefield. The paths I chose turned me off to God, but a summer in His Word changed my life. I wrote this chapbook as a prayer to the Lord. I'm human and I've felt dark human emotion. Know that you aren't alone in these thoughts and it's okay to have them. Which is why the title Winter Skeleton is regarding two parts: God and man. Man is made of frozen bones. Christ is the meat and the warmth we need to accomplish and overcome. The Bible verses tagged at the end represent that warmth the winter needs. While the focus appears to be on the "winter skeleton" it is not. It's on the the outcome and the answer: Jesus Christ. Other than the title I knew my chapbook needed to open up about my faith. It was when I was worshipping God in song that He gave me the answer I needed to tie in book. He wanted me to connect my dark thoughts to Him. So I did. There is a Bible verse with each of my poems to prove that my dark thoughts are cast out by one Light.
