Publisher's Synopsis

'Winter 2011' is a collection of drawings and poems done by JCMjr. while he was healing from being hit by a NYC MTA bus in October of 2010 when it ran a red light in Manhattan, New York City, USA and hit James in the cross walk. 'I love life and I love the adventures that life has taken me though. As I reflect back on that October moment of 2012 when I came out of that darkness of death to life and awaken in the middle of 14th Street and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan all bloody and broken I wonder where the angles of God were hiding in those moments of silent stillness in that darkness that held me" - JCMjr. Drawing his line has been a journey of purpose for James ever since he became aware of the power of his drawings upon others the moment after he was awarded a red ribbon for a pin and ink drawing of a cowboy getting in to a stagecoach that he drew in elementary school in Leagues City, Texas. "When my drawings give someone a joyful smile it makes me feel like I am doing something good to make the world a better place to live in." - JCMjr. This collection of drawings and poems is pledged to that healing time in James' life where the line and the artist community of his alumni brought James back into the awareness of his purpose as an artist. - Colvin James
