America's role in the First World War is an historically overlooked and misunderstood event. This book seeks to trace that history, to provide a complete description of the course of the war including the horrors the American Expeditionary Force encountered on the Western Front, the process of industrialization the nation at large underwent and examine the resulting political, societal and economic changes the United States underwent as a result.
