Publisher's Synopsis

Remake of the 1971 cult film of the same name, this quirky horror fable tells the story of Willard (Crispin Glover), an awkward misfit who lives at home with his overbearing mother (Jackie Burroughs) and works for the family business under a greedy, authoritarian boss (R. Lee Ermey). Pushed around and domineered by everyone in his life, Willard turns to the rats who inhabit his shabby home for friendship. Before long, Willard's connection with the rodents has become so strong that the rats are working for him as an army, committing a series of grisly murders and exacting revenge on all those who have ostracized Willard and done him wrong. But one unusually intelligent rat, Ben, is not as obedient to Willard's orders as the others, and a deadly battle of wills begins.
