This is a bilingual edition of the works of the contemporary French poet, Jean-Charles Vegliante. The translations are a twin venture: half done by Jacqueline Kiang and half by Peter Broome, with the aim of introducing two interpretative emphases, two temperaments and two linguistic sensitivities.;The edition has the French poems facing two-toned translations and is accompanied by an introduction to the poetry of Jean-Charles Vegliante, and a concluding essay by the author on aspects of translation.
