Publisher's Synopsis
Coming-of-age comedy drama by writer-director M. Night Shyamalan. Joseph Cross stars as Joshua Beal, a fifth grader at a Catholic boys' school who is coming to terms with the recent death of his grandfather. His failure to make the school football team and harrassment by the class bully add to his feelings of despondency, and in his quest for answers from God he approaches his teacher, Sister Terry (Rosie O'Donnell), who advises him to consult a cardinal who is visiting the local girls' school. There, Joshua meets a young girl and falls for her, adding a whole new dimension to his spiritual quest.
