Ron Whitney was born in Kingston, Washington. He attended Northwest College in Kirkland, Washington where he met his wife, Wanda. Together they sponsored and directed Gospel MusicFests for five years at the Ocean Shores Convention Center. He has been a pastor for 40 years, author, singer, songwriter; missionary-evangelist to West Indies, South America, Uganda, W. Africa, Singapore and Malaysia; and currently is an evangelist and popular guest speaker. They now live in Ocean Shores, Washington.
