Publisher's Synopsis

Who's Who in the Kitchen (Black & White Print Edition). This is a collection of recipes, assembled originally by the Gold Star Wives in 1961, donated by the leading politicians, generals, diplomats and celebrities of the Georgetown Power Elite in Washington D. C. Senators, Congressmen, Presidents -- the names that we grew up with if you were of the Baby Boomer generation, names that were part of the history of the 20th century -- all are in here. A portion of each sale goes to the Gold Star and Wounded Warrior Project. These are not copied recipes handed out by PR departments; rather, these were personal, family favorites released only because the Gold Star Wives military support organization asked for them. Often these were donated by wives, mothers, or grandmothers - the people who actually COOKED these dishes for the notables and their families. Many of these included wonderful little side notes and liners and stories that make this a wonderful, fun, nostalgic perspective - from the cooking side - of a momentous time in our history.
