Publisher's Synopsis
This is the 159th annual edition of the internationally famed big red
book, the standard, up-to-date source book of information on people of
influence and interest in all fields. It is the only book of its kind -
with 'autobiographical' entries.
The electronic edition of Who's Who enables readers to search the
database in a very different way to the print volume, and in a fraction
of the time. Examples include: finding out which biographees went to
Warwick University; who lives in Kent; who plays Golf; how many people
in Who's Who are from a legal background; who was born in 1965; who in
Who's Who works or has worked for Shell Oil; who's new in Who's Who for 2007.
It also allows access to the complete 11 volume resource Who Was Who -
dating back to 1897 and containing over 100,000 biographies. Not all
volumes are available in print. Buyers receive a voucher inside the
copy of their book. This contains a unique password which enables
single-user access to the Who's Who database online. Users will have
access to the Who's Who database for 12 months from registration or the lifetime of Who's Who 2007, whichever is shorter.
'The famous red covers of Who's Who are exclusive and only the enduringly notable get into them..After a week with the new Who's Who (and though it's heavy to pick up) "you can't put it down" best describes my feeling.' - Matthew Parris, The Times
