Since the first edition of Whole Body Computed Tomography was published in 1983, the field has been revolutionized by developments in hardware and software for CT units and new non–ionic contrast media, leading to shorter examination times, enhanced image quality and increased patient comfort. All of these changes and more are now included in the second edition, making Whole Body Computed Tomography the indispensable reference for radiologists, surgeons and internists. The second edition is presented in a totally new atlas format and has been expanded to include more than 1500 images, most of which are new to this edition and are of the very highest quality.
