WHO IS JEFFREY DAHMER
Between 1978 and 1991, American serial murderer Jeffrey Dahmer murdered 17 men. For more than 13 years, Dahmer stalked men of African American descent at gay clubs, shopping centres, and bus stops. He lured them home with promises of money or sex, poisoned their wine, and then strangled them. He would perform sexual acts on the bodies, dismember them and dispose of them, often retaining the skulls or other body parts as souvenirs. He often recorded his victims as they went through different phases of the killing process, which helped him recall and feel each act afterwards. When Dahmer was apprehended in 1991, he was given 16 life sentences. Christopher Scarver, a fellow prisoner, murdered him in 1994.
