Excerpt from Whitmore Tracts: A Collection of Essays on Matters of Interest to Persons Bearing the Name
This collection contains three tracts reprinted from the Herald and Genealogist published in London. The fourth tract is new, and I trust will be of value. The fifth is a reprint from the N. E. Hist. and Gen. Register.
The edition consists of forty-two copies, and I have added to twenty-five of them a sixth tract, consisting of some notes on Whitmore wills, which are not of equal value, because some errors in copying may be found. Still, as they may be of service, I thought it wise to preserve a certain number.
Some of these tracts have been issued separately.
