Publisher's Synopsis
The book you are about to read is a work of fiction. Any characters or events that resemble any persons, living or dead are purely coincidental. What started out as a nice little short story about the relationship between an ex-gunfighter and two American Indians has blossomed into a novel depicting the relationship between peoples who inhabit a town and peoples who inhabit a village. If you are looking for a story that is politically correct you won't find it here. But I have taken strides not to be blatantly offensive or obscene. Set in a location somewhere in the Old West the time period is up to the reader to determine. As I wrote this I was often reminded of one of my favorite comedic writers, Mel Brooks. The only way this story came together is to write it scene by scene in the tradition of a soap opera. This is a playful poke at biases, prejudices, and stereotypes. Frankly I found it fun and refreshing to write and hopefully you will find it fun to read. Enjoy and take a journey to find out which way Waters does flow. Ric Wells [email protected]
