It contains details of about 1500 inspected hotels, motels and pensions in Germany and Austria, a travellers' directory, and a comprehensive section of information for the continental visitor, whether in a car or travelling by air or rail. There are chapters on health and safety and general touring information, with an introduction to each country which covers topics such as motoring, accident procedures, currency and telephones.
